So, since I have no way to upload anything here, I must start doing other things. Such as writing about stuffs. And junk. And, of course, rant about everything.

So I have decided to write about one of my most recent and most unstable ideas so far: THE UNIVERSE OF CRYSTAL SKIES



Also known as the Celestial Mechanism, the Universe actually has little to do with the name Crystal Skies. Crystal Skies is only one of its so-called Subdimensional Planes, and it has been named so by its inhabitants after the endless expanse of cloud-filled skies that dominate the entire Subdimensional Plane.

The Universe itself is built entirely on a constantly-flowing stream of time that has been locked in a time loop for unknown reasons and at an unknown point in time. (Or maybe it was a time loop all along. Hell, I don't know. I haven't really decided on that yet, hence the "unstable" idea.) Even more interesting is the fact that the universe itself is this flowing timestream caught in a loop.

Anyway, the Universe itself is primarily dominated by an invisible, imperceptible energy-like field called the Celestial Entity, which carries all of the knowledge of the Universe within itself, as well as controlling the flow of the timestream and generally keeping the Universe together. The Celestial Entity resides within the Universe in wide (infinite, actually, so quite wide) Waves, which are divided into smaller overlapping Currents that travel parallel to one another. These Currents are divided further into Strings of Celestial Entity, which travel along the Currents, but also in between them, randomly connecting two or more Currents for brief moments and so transporting various fragments of information across the entire Universe.

With all that knowledge running around in random, but quite well organized patterns, the Celestial Entity is in many ways alive, and it penetrates the entire Universe along with everything else in it.

However, there tend to be "errors" in the network, which create strange anomalies in random points in the Universe, depending on the location of the incident.

When a single Celestial Current is forced by other neighboring ones to give away its information, and when all Strings separate from the Current in the same spot, the Current collapses and a rift is created in its place. The rift is then a place of origin of an anomaly called Sinkhole, which exists for the one and only purpose of absorbing information from all around in a desperate hope of finding and utilizing the right type of knowledge necessary for closing the rift and preventing it from damaging other parts of the Celestial Entity.

However, when a single Celestial Current is forced by other neighboring ones to gain extra information, and when every String joins the said Current at the same point, the Current swells up and a knot is created in its place. The knot, although not damaging any part of the Celestial Entity like the rift, prevents information from traveling along the Current and therefore causes them to build up around itself, growing even more until it begins to affect other neighboring Currents. Only when the other Currents are also blocked by the enlarging knot, the original Current that spawned the knot begins desperately releasing information in order to eliminate the blockage.

Sometimes these anomalies fail to repair themselves and instead begin spreading to other parts of the system. This is when other, more serious and significant anomalies form in their place out of several smaller ones combined together. When several different, but relatively close anomalies join, the entire region around them (sometimes even the entire Wave) merges together to form a Dimension, which takes the form of an average anomaly that created it, only multiplied hundreds of times over. The knots join to form a Dimension of Lightforce, which exists in order to gather information from its surroundings and spontaneously release it across a vast area, while the Sinkholes join into a Dimension of Darkforce, which consumes vast amounts of information and stores it, only using the most vital ones to stabilize the fabric of the Celestial Entity around it in order to avoid a catastrophic collapse.

These two Dimensions together form the so-called Twin-Forces, which almost always work against one another. Other types of anomalies that form on Celestial Currents are the so-called Dimensions of Trinity, which form from average, mostly successful information transfers between different Currents.

The most common is the so-called Dimension of Mass, which forms when a Current with a single knot gains identical or at lest very similar informtion from other Currents without enlarging the knot. This takes place almost everywhere near knots and almost always emerges successfully, when the Current loaded with almost identical informations manages to break through the knot, clearing it but also taking all the information from it. The result is a rapid swelling of the entire Current, which then forms two knots on random spots and seals itself off from the rest of the system, therefore creating a Dimension full of various kinds of solid matter, located in between the two knots.

Another common Dimension is the Dimension of Spirit, which forms on the knot itself, while it is being cleared by a rapid transfer of informatin through the blocked Current between other clear Currents. As the knot is removed, the spot of the Current remains as an easy transfer point between other random Currents, where information transfer begins increasing drastically and eventually causes the so-called Transit Current to stretch outwards into a spheroid shape, through which the information continues to pass until it moves too fast for the little Strings to maintain stability. When the connection with the sphere is finally severed, the anomaly detatches from the Current and takes its own place in between other Currents, moving freely aroound the entire Wave and constantly establishing brief connections with random Currents nearby.

The last of the Trinity is the so-called Dimension of Life, which is quite rare as it only forms on spots formerly occupied by Sinkholes. When a Sinkhole absorbs enough information to find a way to seal its rift, the information that is left behind slowly merges together, supplied with even more information from other neighboring Currents, and eventually creates a new Current, which briefly drains the entire Wave from small fragments of information that come together and collide at the point of origin of the new Current, which finds itself carrying the entire knowledge of the Universe and is essentially a miniature copy of the Celestial Entity, although it is not vast enough to inherit its time-controlling abilities. However, the newly formed Current gradually establishes its own space around itself, taking control of it and growing due to the income of additional information from its neighbors, eventually becoming a vast, living mind that is capable of generating new information over time.

These three Dimensions form the Trinity, which is not only affected by the Celestial Entity, but also by the Twin Forces, and one another. The three Dimensions of Life, Mass and Spirit can influence each other and therefore spawn random mixtures of either of the three, but the most significant o them all is the Dimension of Life, whose unique abilities enable the Trinity to change and evolve as new informations are exchanged between the three Dimensions.

Also, these Dimensions of Trinity can and ften do overlap with one another, creating random, brief and unstable Subdimensions, which combine the qualities of all of their parent Dimensions. The Twin Forces also join with the Trinity, often by accident, creating the so-called Planes, which keep the qualities of their parent Dimensions, but also gain new abilities from the Force that influences them.

And now a little surprise: The Universe described above is in fact only one of its forms, called Conditions: the so-called Condition of Independence. The other, Condition of Conjunction, occurs only when the stability of the Universe is jeopardized by the current state of the Celestial Entity.

As the Universe progresses, the Twin Forces can sometimes get out of control of the Celestial Entity, spreading across a vast area of the Universe and dominating over it. When the two Dimensions finally encounter one another, they lock in a kind of stalemate, with one Dimension stealing information from the other and vice versa. Essentially, they both begin consuming each other, creating a violent disruption along almost every Current in every Wave. These disruptions gradually break the delicate balance of the Universe, tearing the information transfers apart and creating countless rifts, each of which begins joining with others and slowly spreads across the entire Celestial Entity.

In a desperate attempt to repair the damage and save itself, the Celestial Entity begins randomly copying itself in order to create enough information to seal the massive rift. This is rarely successful, as each of the small rifts originates from a split of different kinds of data and therefore each rift requires different information to be sealed, and when these rifts combine into a single one, then the only way to seal it is to provide it with all kinds of information in order to effectively repair the damage done by every single tiny rift. If the rapid copying is successful, the Celestial Entity closes the massive rift and tears each of the Dimensions apart, returning to its prime, unspoiled state, ready for the entire process of spawning anomalies to start again.

However, if simple copying of itself turns out to be futile, the Celestial Entity continues to take steps to save itself by pulling every String and every Current and every Wave together, including the existing Dimensions, in order to flood the massive rift with the existing information in hope of stalling it for long enough to generate new information specifically for the self-regeneration process.

As the Universe shrinks and collapses in on itself, it enters the so-called Condition of Conjunction, during which every single Dimension is merged with the others at the spot of the massive rift, and all knowledge of the Universe is stored within the newly created Subdimensional Plane, which exists for the one purpose of generating new material to supply the Universe as it attempts to repair and rebuild itself.

This process tends to be the most successful one, as the Celestial Entity itself changes in order to force the Subdimensional Plane to produce the new material. After a significant amount of the material is made, the Celestial Entity starts the so-called Harvest, during which the material is taken out of the Subdimensional Plane and used to eliminate one of the fragments of the massive rift. After all fragments are eliminated and the rift is sealed, the Universe explodes back into its former state, tearing the Subdimensional Plane apart and spreading the information out into Waves, Currents and Strings, therefore returning from the Condition of Conjunction back into the Condition of Independence and making a full circle around the time loop.


The Subdimensional Plane, being the result of a collision of Dimensions of the Universe during the Condition of Conjunction, most often assumes the form of Crystal Skies, forming into a vast realm dominated by endless expanse of cloud-filled skies and inhabited by massive worlds, which house the realm's living inhabitants.

The Subdimensional Plane also experiences several different stages of its life, beginning with the so-called Period of Fury, during which the entire Subdimensional Plane is a hostile and uninhabitable place ravaged by violent storms that slowly shape it into its final form in order to prepare it for the next stage. The next stage is the Period of Rest, during which the so-called Celestial Children are created, whose purpose is to provide the Universe with material necessary for the self-regeneration process. After the Period of Rest comes the Period of Harvest, during which the Universe gathers material from the Subdimensional Plane, and when the self-regeneration process is finally completed, the last stage called the Period of Division comes. During the final stage, the Subdimensional Plane is torn apart as the Universe returns to its primary form.

The big-huge wall of text above is the rough description of my fictional Universe called Crystal Skies, written from the bits and pieces of ideas floating around in my head. Most of the description was improvised based on the latest ideas that I developed while writing, and I think that this is now the official outline of the Universe.

Hoping that it still qualifies as a "more-or-less original" idea, I leave it as it is. Further descriptions of other elements of the Crystal Skies to follow.
